Hi Phil. We have a project underway that aims at helping downtowns of small towns by linking them together into a network, then promoting that network to tourists seeking small towns experiences. It's called smallwander.com.

All the best,

JD

That approach won't work in downtown Jackson. The only projects we pursue are those that demand heavy doses of taxpayers dollars from our rapidly declining population base. If you can't find a way to extract another taxpayer subsidy then you won't get past the talking phase.

An almost *$ quality cup of coffee is at the Java Gogo on Burlington in North Kansas City, Missouri. "A Cup Above" on North Oak Trafficway has the same services available that you mentioned but is a little distant from me...

My little town is too small for a coffee shop. So, I guess you would just have to become acquainted with the entire town and be invited in for a cup of coffee to go with your piece of cake.

I make coffee, but never learned to drink it.

In Starkville a great place to get coffee is the Shippley's Donut store. It's on HWY 12 in the same shopping center as Harvey's, the Lodge, etc. at the end closest to campus. Great coffee -- GREAT DONUTS -- and a kind and caring staff.
