State Senator Terry Burton, R-Newton, has been appointed to serve on the governing board of the Council of State Governments.
The Council of State Governments forecasts policy changes in government on a national and regional basis and utilizes seasoned policy makers from across the country in its problem solving efforts.
Burton, who chairs the Senate Elections Committee, will benefit the CSG with his wealth of knowledge gathered across the years. The senator has served since 1992. Burton, who recently met with CSG officials in Anchorage, was appointed by Lt. Governor Phil Bryant.
