Traits of a Great Police Chief

William Bratton, outgoing Los Angeles chief of police and former chief in New York and Boston, is receiving quite a bit of praise. Not only was he tough on crime, but he was a reformer as well.

How did Bratton do it?

  • He Listened to Cops and Communities Equally
  • He Diversified the Police Force
  • He Delivered on His Promises
  • Treated Minor Crimes Seriously

  1. Bratton is a hero is his mind only. Who thinks he is great? Certainly not line officers, maybe politicians and professors. He is a gun for hire, that is all……………next chief job to next chief job……..and on and on.
