Downtown Blue Ridge doing it right.

On the day after Thanksgiving my family and I had the opportunity to visit Blue Ridge, a town in the north Georgia mountains not far from the North Carolina border.  It is considered the southern gateway to the Blue Ridge mountains.  It also has a lake Downtown Blue Ridge was in the Christmas spirit.  There were carolers on the sidewalk, Santa and Mrs. Claus in the candy store talking to the kids, a horn quartet on a busy corner, the Santa train (Blue Ridge Scenic Railway) and crowds galore. My son and I discovered a sports bar and watched the Alabama-Auburn game while the others did some shopping.  This is a downtown that knows how to do it right.
